Poke has its very own, democratic music platform - Poke Radio. Employees can connect with their company email then drag and drop their favourite tracks from Spotify into the queue to hear them play out across the office. Colleagues can 'upvote' or 'downvote' each track as they play, 5 downvotes and your song gets scratched and the next one in the list begins to play.

To help visualise some of the useful information coming from Poke Radio, myself and 2 colleagues from the tech team designed and built a central display to broadcast basic information about each track playing. We called it the Poke Halo.

Then, over the last 3 years we have constantly updated the functionality of The Halo to display a wide range of alerts to the entire studio by connecting it to a bunch of open source API's.
